Whole Pearlized Chambered Nautilus shell. This one measures
6 1/2" in length. A Nautilus this large is becoming quite difficult to find. The
Chambered Nautilus has been known to man for many centuries and has been a part
of art, craft and poetry since the Middle Ages. They come from the Philippines
and are becoming difficult to import. The Nautiloids roamed the seas of the
world in vast numbers many millions of years ago, but today their race clings to
a precarious survival in the form of only four or five species.
